Goalie Academy Staff

Gavin grew up playing hockey in Fort Saskatchewan, and is a former University of Alberta Golden Bear and draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers. Following a six-year professional career in Europe, he returned to Canada and has been coaching goaltenders for the past 10 years.

In addition to the individual instruction offered through his previous venture - Great Western Goalies, Gavin has taught goaltender sessions at the world-famous Okanagan Hockey School and at summer camps conducted by S.M.A.R.T. Hockey. He is also the current goalie instructor for the Clover Bar Junior High School hockey program.

Martin grew up studying in Fort Saskatchewan. He has been known to watch the University of Alberta Golden Bears and is a big fan of the Edmonton Oilers.

A NAIT certified computer nerd, Martin is primarily responsible for the Academy scheduling and office systems, along with the design, construction, and administration of the website. He was also heavily involved in the design and construction of the Academy facilities.
